#MERS #Coronavirus Saudi Arabia MOH Update - July 6, 2013

Within the framework of the epidemiological surveillance of the novel Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that three confirmed cases have been recorded. Two cases are for 66 and 69-year-old Saudi males in Riyadh, and now at the ICU. The third case is for a female resident, who works at the health staff in Hafr Al-Batin.

Furthermore, the MOH has announced the death of two citizens, who had been previously announced to be infected with this virus. The first case is for a 53-year-old citizen in the Eastern Region, that is to be added to a two-year-old child in Jeddah who had been suffering from chronic pulmonary diseases, May Allah have mercy upon them.

It is worth mentioning that, the MOH has tested 77 samples at laboratories since the last statement, given that, all of them have been proved negative, May Allah be praised, except the cases that have been published.
