Currently, the epidemic of influenza A (H7N9) has complicated the risk of influenza A (H5N1) outbreak back high. On 23-4, at the Steering Committee meeting, combating epidemics and emerging hazards, the Ministry of Health recommended the provincial People's Committee, the city has not approved a plan for prevention of disease urgently need plans interdisciplinary prevention of influenza A (H7N9) and influenza A (H5N1).
Strengthening the border medical quarantine, especially in the provinces bordering China, Cambodia, split, while closely monitoring cases of suspected severe pneumonia virus at the base and community health. Steering systems healthcare network setup, ready collection and treatment of patients for early detection of the first case, determined not to miss, timely treatment, as well as reviewing additional sources timely funding for the work, prevention. Strengthen coordination with other ministries and departments of communication about the disease situation, the animal hygiene and preventive measures against influenza A (H7N9), influenza A (H5N1) transmission in birds to humans. Besides, the Ministry of Health will request the World Health Organization to support antiviral drugs, personal protective equipment from the reserves of the region.
According to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, strains of influenza currently circulating are Influenza A (H1N1) to developing superior, there were three deaths due to influenza A (H1N1).Particularly in Thanh Hoa, Yen Baighi receiving cluster cases. The research results of the Institute from early this year, of the nearly 1,000 specimens collected nearly 120 samples positive for influenza. Which emerged as influenza A (H1N1), influenza B, and then the influenza A (H3N2). Of the 335 samples of cases of acute respiratory tract, the effects of influenza accounted for over 8%, which is superior to the recognition of influenza A (H1N1).
Experts recommend influenza A (H1N1) currently circulating as a normal flu season, but people should not subjective. The nature of influenza is serious, possibly fatal, in which influenza A (H1N1) virus more dangerous because it can spread from person to person. Recent studies showed no change in the virulence of strains of influenza A (H1N1). And there are the young, healthy individuals but can be fatal because it is local people who are susceptible to being easy to progressive disease, respiratory failure, multiple organ failure and death.
