Riyadh, March 07 (QNA) – A Saudi citizen has died of the coronavirus in a
hospital in Al Qassim Province, the Saudi Health Ministry has announced
.
In a statement issued here last night, the ministry said the case is the
7th in Saudi Arabia and the 14th globally.The ministry is on constant
contact with the World Health Organisation (WHO) in case of any new
development according to the 2005 international health regulations which
Saudi Arabia is strictly committed to.
It is worth to mention that global health officials are closely
monitoring the new respiratory virus related to SARS that is believed to
have killed at least six persons in Saudi Arabia and left a Qatari
citizen in critical condition in London.
