Vietnam: Thừa Thiên Huế Pulling Out All The Stops for Prevention of #H5N1 Human Outbreak

[They sure are pulling out all the stops and jumping through a lot of hoops,  for not having any outbreaks in humans.  If I didn't know better, I'd say they have had a human infection in Vietnam....]

12/9, the PPC has written guidance to strengthen the prevention and control of pandemic influenza A (H5N1) in humans, hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue fever in the province of Thừa Thiên Huế.


Accordingly, the Chairman requested the authorities to consolidate and strengthen the activities of the Steering Committee for prevention at provincial, district and commune levels and assign specific tasks to members online to monitor and direct the activities of prevention services by residential areas. Department of Agriculture and Rural Development: Establish interdisciplinary inspection team supervise, direct and inspect the prevention of influenza A (H5N1) in poultry flocks. Promptly notify the Department of Health and local authorities to coordinate treatment thoroughly outbreak prevention of influenza A (H5N1) from poultry to humans.

Department of Education and Training: To assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the health sector to guide the school held direct talks with the parents of the measures and how to recognize early signs of hand, foot and mouth disease, dengue fever prevention initiative. Coordinate closely with the health sector in the management of student health, immediately notify the health unit when detecting cases to coordinate timely.

Department of Finance, Department of Planning and Investment advisory PPC arranging funding for prevention and control of influenza A (H5N1), hand, foot and mouth, dengue fever and other diseases as suggested by the Department of Health and the and agencies to ensure resources deployment activities for prevention to be effective.
