Quang Ngai Province yesterday announced the A/H5N1 avian flu as an
epidemic after the disease has spread to 23 hamlets in 17 communes by
August 31. The provincial veterinary agency has sent 80 samples to Da
Nang City for testing and the test results showed that all these sample
have been infected with the A/H5N1 virus.
