Trujillo: buried more dead pelicans Salaverry

The District Municipality of Salaverry ordered the immediate burial of the dead birds on the edge of the beach to avoid contamination and epidemics.

 With the new appearance of dead pelicans on the beach Salaverry district, province of Trujillo (La Libertad), the District Municipality of Salaverry ordered the cleaning and burial of these birds through the area of public sanitation and health, according to the recommendations made by the Regional Health Management to prevent any epidemic.

After 15 days the first pelicans appeared dead on the shores of the resort of Salaverry, now the bodies were stranded from the main beach to the height of the second pier of the resort.
The work of cleaning and disposal of pelicans took place just outside the beach where there is traveled by bathers. According to the recommendations of health authorities, the dead pelicans should not be incinerated if not buried in red bags and sprayed with lime.

As recalled, 40 to 50 pelicans died in this Town earlier this month due to lack of anchovy by the warming of waters in
