Indonesia: Drug-Disease stocks Mass Disaster Safe in West Java

Tuesday, March 13, 2012
NILAH.COM, Bandung - West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan said the supply of drugs (buffer stock) in anticipation of natural disasters and diseases such as avian flu and mass immunization declared safe.

"Better to have a supply of drugs in the event of something, rather than no inventory at something," said Ahmad Heryawan after doing the sudden inspection to the Health Office in West Java, Bandung Pasteur Street, Monday (03/12/2012).

Heryawan said Jabar Health Department provides various types of drug-related outbreaks (outbreaks) and the bulk of disease.

"Usually the drugs are associated with outbreaks, immunizations, and medications are not necessary for people who are diseased. Here only the drugs that are associated with mass treatment such as bird flu and disaster," he said. [Jul]

[I don't suppose he wants to elaborate on that a little...]
