Indo/Cen. Java: 14 Confirmed Human H5N1 Cases since 2005. 13 Died.

The number of people with bird flu patients had been treated at Friendship Hospital, East Jakarta during 2005-2012 was recorded as many as 35 patients tested positive for bird flu. But of that number, only six patients or 20 percent of them were rescued by a team of hospital doctors.

Today, we hear from Central Java:

SEMARANG -As many as 13 people in Central Java died from the disease known to bird flu. Most of the victims died after adolescence. This was revealed during a meeting Health Department (DHO) in Central Java Central Java DPRD Commission E Diamond Street House of Heroes, City of Jakarta, Tuesday (02/07/2012). Based on data from Central Java health office, during 2005-2011 recorded 120 people stated suspect bird flu, but who tested positive for avian influenza (AI) as many as 14 people. Of the 14 men, 13 died.

With details of 2006 as many as three people; 2007 as many as five people; 2008 three people; 2009 and 2010 respectively one person.

Death of the victim is spread over 10 regions, namely Wonogiri; Sukoharjo; Sragen; Boyolali, Semarang regency; Grobogan; Semarang; Kendal; Pemalang, and Waterfall."In 2011 there were eight people with bird flu supsek, but after the treatment was positive for the H5N1 virus, was until early 2012 there was no suspect AI," said Head of Central Java health office, Anung Sugiantono.
