Egypt: Prepares A Vaccine for Poultry - for Current Strain #H5N1 #Bird flu

With a victory scientifically pure Egyptian, Research Institute scientists have vaccines, veterinary vaccines, in cooperation with the National Center for Research in the preparation of a vaccine for a local anti-avian influenza virus H5N1.

She explained during the meeting which was held under the chairmanship of Osama Sulayem, Chairman of the General Authority for Veterinary Services in order to find the results of the new vaccine in the presence of Dr. Suhair Hassan, Head of Central Department for Preventive Medicine, was to provide a scientific integrated the new vaccine to the organs of the Commission, and approved for registration and ongoing preparation of the first batch of calibrated until the end of the registration procedure, so it can be put to poultry farms. She said that agreement was reached with the National Center for Research Institute for the supply of modern Palmazolat after treatment with reverse genetics technology, where the flu virus mutate rapidly and genetic changes, and therefore must use the isolates that have taken place by the changes to get the highest rate of protection.
She explained that the Institute finished creation of a special section for Research on Avian Flu at a cost of 12 million pounds of income of the Institute, according to the latest international standards, to produce 400 million doses of vaccines against avian influenza can be multiplied according to needs.
