H5N1 flu recurrence in the North

The recurrence of bird flu across the two northern provinces - Phu Tho and Quang Tri.

At the Public commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho, flu re-emerged again from July 10. Within 11 days, there were 2 thousand 300 birds infected with H5N1 influenza and died.

In Quang Tri, the virus appeared on July 6. Until now, local destruction of two thousand two hundred chickens, ducks infected.

Especially as the test bird flu samples in the two places are for a positive result with the new clade 2.3.2 viruses (called branch 2). The virus appeared last year and there is no preventive vaccine. According to experts, this new type of virus usually occurs in the northern provinces, while the virus clade 1 (old branch) still appear in the South.
