Deaths of thousands of birds, pigeons in Italy for some unknown reason

تحقق شرطة الغابات الإيطالية والسلطات الصحية في بلدة فاينسا بإقليم بولونيا شمال البلاد في أسباب نفوق اكثر من ‬4 آلاف من طيور اليمام في البلدة خلال الأسبوع الأول من العام ‬2010 الجاري.

ونقلت وكالة الانباء الإيطالية عن مصادر طبية انها تجري «تحاليل لمعرفة ما إذا كان سبب النفوق الجماعي للطيور ناشئاً عن فيروس موجود في الجو أو تسمم لأسباب أخرى ومدى إمكانية انتقال هذه الحالة للإنسان».

واشار إلى وجود احتمال آخر وهو ان تكون الطيور أكلت بعض العناصر الضارة مثل بذور دوار الشمس التي تؤدي إلى آثار جانبية خطيرة عليها وقد تقودها للموت.
