Unhygienic pork sold in Malaysian market

[28 October 2010] The Federation of Livestock Farmers’ Association of Malaysia (FLFAM) reported seeing unhygienic and low-quality imported pork being sold in local markets. According to the FLFAM, these are pig parts whose imports had not been approved by the authorities and were meant to be discarded or for processing into dog food. It urged the importers association and the Veterinary Department to ensure safe meat for consumption.
