Declaran emergency Liberty for 60 days for cases of plague

The regional government of La Libertad emergency declared in the northern department for 60 days to deal with cases of bubonic plague and pneumonic plague by an ordinance published today in the journal Legal Standards of Official Journal El Peruano.


The provision states that the measure corresponds to face the cases of the disease, mainly in sectors where there is a higher incidence of dispensing and administrative procedures in order to optimize the logistical support.


Also available to implement and execute on a priority basis the contingency plan developed and adopted by the Regional Health Management, in recognition of the declaration of emergency to deal with cases of bubonic or pneumonic plague in La Libertad.


Notes that the presence of the plague epidemic in the district bubóonica Chicama, in the province of Ascope, from which the index case of pneumonic plague, it is necessary to strengthen health services and community participation.


The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced today via a press release, that the outbreak of plague in the department of La Libertad is under control, due to the technical assistance.
