The Council heard a report from the Agriculture Minister on the
outcome of the meeting of the Supreme National Committee to
combat avian flu after suspect severe symptoms of the virus in a
poultry farm and imported from Israel, in the town of Bala
Governorate of Tulkarem. The Minister of Agriculture that the results
of laboratory tests carried out by the Veterinary Services
Laboratory has ruled out the cases of the disease among poultry
farm, and there are doubts about the results of laboratory-Israel,
and it formed a joint committee from the Ministries of Health and
Agriculture held a meeting with the Israeli side in this regard and will
continue veterinary medical services to intensify their efforts to
monitor and follow up any infection with this disease. He assured the
Minister of Agriculture of citizens and invited them to follow up
statements of information and instructions issued by the Supreme
National Committee as the only authority in this matter and after
making sure once again testing laboratory managers.
