A/H1N1 in Myanmar

Seven townships of Yangon, former capital of Myanmar get wide spread of A/H1N1 virus infection. These are Bahan, Shwe-pyi-tha, Hlaing Thaya, Hmawbi, North-Dagon, East Dagon, ad ost of the cases are t North Dagon. In North Daon, there has been at ward 43; Chin nationals at gathered-boarder. Now 43 of them are treated as in-patient at hospital. There are 2 patients positiveA/H1N1 curently.


From January 2010 to February 212010 there have been 56 patients and last year, 69 patients with A/H1N1.


Then more patients with A/H1N1 found at Shwe -pyi -tha garment factory soon. 7 patient withA/H1N1 on Feb.19 and junta said that total number of 124 patients in Myanmar but no death, they said.


And also 55 patients from Chin state, and5 from northen Shan state Junta declared.


World Health Organization said more than 40 million Myanmar people would get vaccination against A/H1N1 free-of-charge by WHO at the end of February. Priorities include health personals and whom risky for A/H1N1. Dr.Myo Lwin, government servant physician said that vaccination could effect one year after single dose.


WHO will help to get Tamiflu easily for Myanmar.
