Last Update: 4/29 1:49 pm

TAMPA, FL -- Doctors at University Community Hospital are keeping their eyes on two patients who recently tested positive for influenza A.

Test results for the swine flu strain of influenza a are pending. One patient is a six month old baby.

This six month old infant is fighting pneumonia and influenza A. His mom, who asked that we not identify them, took him to a walk in clinic over the weekend with flu-like symptoms. "They said he had pneumonia and it was quite shocking. They said I needed to go straight to the ICU, skip the ER and registration and they would accept him."

When she got to University Community Hospital, mom says, "Immediately they all come and they posted a sticker on the door that said "contaminated." They came in with masks and freaked us out a little bit. We said who, what's going on here. And they said, well this is a precaution, he's contagious and he could infect others. And they began running tests on the baby."
