Egypt: "Minister": the bird flu is endemic in Egypt

Dr. Abdel Azim Wazir Governor of Cairo, said Egypt has become on of the 3 countries occupy the top of the bird flu is endemic, especially after the high case fatality in 2009, came during a meeting of the Council on local Governorate of Cairo yesterday evening, Tuesday.

وطالب وزير خلال الجلسة، بضرورة أخذ الحيطة والحذر فيما يتعلق بمواجهة الفيروس، قائلا "علينا ألا نتراخى فى ذلك، وينبغى تعزيز عدد المجازر فى المحافظات ذات المزارع الضخمة، مثل محافظات الشرقية والغربية والدقهلية والقليوبية، كما ينبغى تغيير النظام الغذائى فى الدواجن".

The Minister has called for during the meeting, the need to take caution and care with regard to the virus, saying, "Let us not be complacent about that, and should boost the number of massacres in the provinces with large farms, such as the provinces of East and West, Dakahliya Qalubia, and should be changed in the diet of poultry." ولفت الانتباه إلى أن الفيروس يهدأ فى فترة الصيف، لكنه يعاود الظهور فى
